Jarkko on haastateltavana kesällä ja alkusyksyllä Lomaradiossa ja Radio Robin Hoodissa.
Helsingissä (98,5 MHz),Tampereella (101,6 MHz),Turussa (100,5 MHz),Jyväskylässä (98,7 MHz) ja Lahdessa (99,1 MHz) kuuluva Lomaradio haastattelee Jarkkoa maanantaina 26.7. n. klo 11.30.Ohjelman uusinta kuullaan lauantaina 31.7. klo 10.00 alkaen.
Turussa kuuluva Radio Robin Hood (91,5 MHz) haastattelee Jarkkoa kahdessa erässä.Ensimmäinen osa kuullaan perjantaina 6.8. klo 8.50-9.50 (uusinnat lauantaina 7.8. klo 15.00-16.00 sekä tiistaina 10.8. klo 13.30-14.30) ja toinen osa perjantaina 10.9. klo 8.50-9.50 (uusinnat lauantaina 11.9. klo 15.00-16.00 sekä tiistaina 14.9. klo 13.30-14.30). Ohjelmissa kuullaan runsaasti Jarkon musiikkia uran varrelta.

Jarkko Toivonen - Arriba Big Band!
''Guitar meets Big Band''- Kunnianosoitus 1960-luvun kulttuurille, feat. Sami Koskela perc. ja Sari Ann voc.

Jarkko esiintyy Arriba Big Bandin solistina torstaina 23.9.2010 toimintakeskus Harjulassa (Kullervonkatu 7) Lohjalla klo.19.00. Konsertti on kunnianosoitus 1960-luvun musiikille (Bossa Nova, Beatles, Bacharach jne.) joista kaikista kuullaan Jarkon ja orkesterin brasilialaisversioita. Mukana ovat Jarkon perkussionisti Sami Koskela sekä laulaja Sari Ann Moilanen.
Orkesteria johtaa Kimmo Leppälä.
Luvassa on monipuolinen ilta jossa kuullaan esityksiä kitara-perkussioduoista aina isoihin orkesterisovituksiin asti.

Jarkko konsertoi Aino Ackten huvilalla (Tullisaaren ulkoilupuisto, Laajasalo, Helsinki) tiistaina 10.8. 2010 klo.19.00 yhdessä perkussionistinsa Sami Koskelan kanssa. Konsertissa kuullaan materiaalia Jarkon viime marraskuussa ilmestyneeltä levyltä ''Tropical Trip'' mutta myös vanhempaa tuotantoa. Brasilialaisen musiikin ohella kuullaan muutakin latinalaisamerikkalaista musiikkia.

Jarkko starts recording new CD

Jarkko will start the recordings of his 8th CD in late April and the CD will be available in November 2009.
Besides Latin American classics from Brazil, Mexico and Paraguay, the CD includes Jarkko's arrangements of classic songs from Italy, France and USA.
On percussions will be heard the great Sami Koskela again and the great Finnish vocalist Sari Ann will be heard as a special guest on a few songs.

Jarkko esiintyy yhdessä perkussionistinsa Sami Koskelan kanssa kuudetta kertaa Sammatin kievarissa (Paikkarintie 197) järjestettävässä Elijazz - tapahtumassa. Jarkko juhlistaa Elijazzeilla Bossa Novan 50-vuotista aaltoa, joka lähti Rio de Janeirosta 1958.
Jarkko aloittaa tapahtuman klo 18.30 soittaen n. tunnin, jonka jälkeen ohjelma jatkuu paikallisin voimin.

A new CD coming!

Recordings will start in June and a new CD will be available in October, 2006.

This new CD, the 7th in order will include Brazilian and international classics as well as Jarkko´s own new compositions.

On percussions will be heard Sami Koskela, a brilliant Finnish musician with whom Jarkko started a flourishing collaboration in 2003. For the first time there will be also vocal numbers on Jarkko’s CD, on 5 tracks appears Sari Ann, a skilful Finnish songstress as a special guest.

This long-awaited CD will consist of 15 tracks.

A remarkable event for Brazilian music in Finland in March 2003

Ithamara Koorax and Band with special guest star Jarkko Toivonen

A highly respected vocalist from Brazil, Ithamara Koorax, is one of three invited artists, performing in “ Frutas Tropicales “ – festival this year.
This is the first time for her to perform in Finland and also the first time to have a joint performance with Jarkko.

The musicians are:
